Our custom molded AA helix buttons are a much stronger design due to our improved molding process. The factory part has voids which cause the buttons to easily break. When they break this can cause many issues including high engagement, poor performance, and premature clutch wear. Buttons should be broken in as they will mate with your helix. Being hard on them right out of the box is the most likely time to have a failure, even with our HD product. For this, we suggest an easy cruise and varying MPH, but nothing with hard gas/brake or load/unload the clutch (like crawling).
2016 models CAN use these buttons with the OEM helix and they are much thicker (more wear time) over 2016 OEM buttons. Just make sure you break the buttons in for at least 5-10 miles if running the OEM 2016 helix.
