Lock & Load! This Stage 1 kit provide a big increase in horsepower and torque simplified into an easy package. Tuning and clutching on the Defender HD10 go together like high powered rifles and tannerite. Together they pack a huge punch for the ultimate power gains to the wheels. This package features AA's performance tunes loaded directly on the Power vision ECU tuner! This versatile tuner allows our tunes to easily be uploaded to your factory ECU, switch between tunes, and even return to stock. The Power vision is also a great gauge showing throttle position, timing and more. You can leave the PV hooked up for gauges, or completely remove it after flashing your ECU. The PV also has excellent data logging capabilities if you download the software, and use your laptop. You can even view trouble codes and erase them on the fly. We are highly experienced in tuning these Defenders and that will show. Our tunes are simply set up correctly and everyone with a Power vision should have these tunes! They are also easily labeled and will show rough horsepower claims with supporting mods such as exhaust and clutching. These tunes modify all the necessary maps to create big horsepower, while still maintaining a reliable and safe Defender. Each tune is built specifically for your Power vision. This package also features our Stage 1 clutch kit! No matter the terrain, they hit hard and just keep pulling for days. On the trail or on the racetrack you'll notice wicked acceleration and instant clutch response when getting back into the throttle after hammering that corner. In the dunes you'll see the same benefits, but also have much less bogging when climbing that big dune. The machine will hold RPM so you can get where you need to go, and get there faster! Going mudding? Our mud setup will help turn those tires through the thick and deep with much better RPM and wheel speed that's key to climbing out of that hole. We have a huge amount of CVT knowledge, a great passion for the sport, and spent many hours testing different setups in the real world. The Defender HD10 is a great UTV with potential. It's priced right, and for just a little more we can get the power you are needing. Our clutch kit and tuning combo shows real gains when clutching for a higher RPM as this motor likes to rev more than what the factory allows.
Horsepower gains are 3-4 RWHP on Level 1 with stock clutching, but having the limiters removed and better throttle response makes it feel like more. If you clutch the vehicle for 6400-6700 RPM 45-50 MPH you'll gain 6-7 RWHP over stock. If you add exhaust and Level 2 tune with clutching you are looking at a total of 9-10 RWHP over stock.
Dyno graph shows gains. On level 1 with the S1 clutch kit, it really shows how restrictive the OEM muffler is when running at higher RPM/Speed as power drops off slightly over 50mph dyno speed (actual speedometer is 60). You can see the draggy and dyno results show huge gains up to that MPH, but the AA muffler is highly suggested to build better sustained power in longer pulls. Not just dyno tested! We are avid riders and like the factory, a ton of the testing is done in the field to make sure you are getting 110%. With data logging capabilities you can't get any better testing than real world. Often times we can make significant changes to further increase power, drivability, and feel of the machine that can never be done on the dyno.
Wondering why go with our tune(s) over the Dynojet tunes? We go the extra mile to make sure everything is gained, and have a few extra tricks up our sleeve because we test in the real world. Other maps take their time to hit peak timing numbers which really hurts performance. Our map gets you into peak timing quicker, so max power seems more instant. We also have a great fuel curve that is designed to go with our timing curve, and offers better fueling for more power at WOT. We also do some work with torque limiters as in the dirt we saw throttle closures when spinning the tires. Our map fixes that issue giving you 100% locked power delivery. We also do the easy things like up the speed limiter to where you will never hit, disable 2 foot limiters & more. Basically, this is the all out tune that has all the features you want built right into it. To help better transfer the power gained to the wheels, and to achieve proper peak RPM, this kit includes our Stage 1 Clutch Kit:
Our S1 kit for the Defender is simple with our secondary helix and spring, but works amazing. This kit does nothing with your primary clutch which makes installation and adjustment easier. We found the secondary clutch needed help, and the primary clutch settings were well done for good belt grip. Utilizing our adjustable helix and stiffer secondary spring we are able to ramp up RPM faster and have settings to match larger tires, paddles, tunes, and exhaust.
When adding larger tires or more vehicle weight, the Defender HD10 loses peak RPM and acceleration suffers. Even stock they only turn 5500-6000 RPM peak. We really like to see them at or just over 6000 RPM with the OEM tune. However, we HIGHLY suggest our tuning for the HD10 when clutching as you can dial it in for 6400-6700 RPM and the vehicle really comes to life. The combination is hands down the way to go. If you have others tuning, our kit should still work well at that RPM as long as they did their job.
