The cable has a crimped NMO connection, providing a secure, weathertight connection for reliability and durability. The cable is suitable for VHF and UHF applications and requires a 3/8in thread hole. When using, you ideally want the coax cable length to run the distance from your radio to the antenna without leaving any excess cabling. Excess cable should run straight and not be coiled or overlapped. Rugged offers both 13', 15' (most popular for UTV applications) and 17' options. NMO antenna stud is not solid metal and can be damaged if overtightened.
